My children’s poem, The Caterpillar That Stood on its Head.
I have one other example of my (non-Twitter) poetry on the website, Let Them Eat Cake. Most of my poetry I will be keeping off the internet. (Poems that I have previously posted online I have mainly removed and wish to rewrite.)
Some themes that frequently crop up in my poems are family/relationships, faith, friendship, isolation and adversity. I also love lullabies and nursery rhymes, which I began writing for fan work (an example here), but have since branched out further.
I recently began entering my poems into competitions and anthologies. ‘Reasons to Sing’ and ‘Nutshell’ have both been accepted for publication, the former by Good Newz and the latter by The Student Wordsmith.
More recently, I have been developing my songwriting skills (aside from lullabies). An example or two will be posted before long.
